UK CAVING CLUBS
Cerberus logoCaving on Mendip? The Cerberus Speleological Society has operated on Mendip for many years and offers low-cost bunkhouse accomodation within easy drive of most areas. The club also operates a wide range of meets and social events around the country and abroad.

If Yorkshire is your destination, the Yorkshire Subterranean Society has been operating in Ribblesdale for over 30 years. The YSS offers high quality accomodation in a converted schoolhouse at Helwith Bridge and organises regular meets to all the Yorkshire areas.

A Yorkshire-based 'independent' club, Deep Down Under was formed as so many clubs get tied down with rules and regulations (their words not mine ;o), people not turning up for trips etc. The aim is to provide a simple club where friends who cave can go caving together without hassle, in an encouraging and relaxed and safety conscious environment.

Descent, the leading Caving Magazine in the UK, have developed a great site at http://www.caving.uk.com - it houses excellent links around the world, with loads of current news.

Here's a site that caught my eye, a personal web page by one Pete Jones. His page follows similar lines to this one, covering his interests in Caving, Fell Walking & Mountain Biking with lots of piccies thrown in for good measure. There's also something about oil rigs...!? Have a look at http://homepages.tesco.net/~Peter.A.Jones and see what you think.
